The Tesla and SpaceX CEO, Elon Musk has announced 2 days ago the project of commercializing the Roadster with a « SpaceX option package ». The new Tesla Roadster version, expected for 2020, could benefit from the technological advances SpaceX, specialized in astronautics and space flights.
To make the Roadster the fastest car ever, it will be equiped by 10 small rockets, as Elon Musk has anounced on social medias : « SpaceX option package for new Tesla Roadster will include ~ 10 small rocket thrusters arranged seamlessly around car. These rocket engines dramatically improve acceleration, top speed, braking & cornering. Maybe they will even allow a Tesla to fly…
It is not the first time that SpaceX is linked to the Roadster. Indeed, the 6th of February, a Tesla Roadster has served as an empty load for the inaugural launch of the Falcon Heavy rocket. Today, the Roadster is in orbit and according to scientists. The car will collide the Sun or Earth in million of years.
