This policy describes the data processed by the T4U for Tesla app, the my.tesla-4u.com web screen and the tesla-4u.com website. It replaces the version published in 2019.

Our principle
T4U observes, it never acts. The app is read-only: it requests no command permissions on your vehicle and does not collect its location. We sell no data and show no advertising.
Data processed

What we do not collect
- Your vehicle’s location or your geographic trips.
- Your Tesla password.
- Your bank details.
my.tesla-4u.com web screen
The web screen is paired with your vehicle using a single-use code entered in the app. A session token, specific to that browser and revocable from the app, is stored in the car’s browser. The screen displays the same data, read-only.
Legal basis
Performance of the service you request by connecting your vehicle (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR). You can withdraw access at any time from the app or from your Tesla account.
Recipients and hosting
Data is stored on servers located in France, hosted by OVH SAS. It is accessible only to the VIA SAS team and is never sold, rented or transferred. It may be used in aggregated, anonymised form to produce battery ageing statistics.
Retention
Data is kept for as long as you use the service. You can request its deletion at any time.
Your rights
You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, object and port your data. Write to contact@tesla-4u.com, specifying the VIN concerned. You may also lodge a complaint with the CNIL (cnil.fr) or your local data protection authority.
Cookies
The tesla-4u.com website may use technical and audience-measurement cookies, adjustable from the cookie banner. The T4U app uses no advertising cookies.
